New Year’s Eve GET-DOWN!
IndigoSun had the privilege and pleasure of playing at the Portage Theater this past New Years as part of Bass Drop 2012. The Portage Theater SOLD OUT, and we are so proud that our Chicago scene came out with such strong support, it was truly inspiring, Thank You Thank You!
This was easily the biggest show we’ve ever played and the energy from the packed house was simply phenomenal. We had several people tell us it was perhaps the best IndigoShow they’d ever seen, but all the credit goes to YOU - we just vibed off your wonderful energy and Got the Funk Down!
Big ups as well to Shapes & Colors, Eumatik, and The Coop for throwing down amazing sets, and much thanks to Bobby McGivney and Funky Booster for putting on a great show!
Unfortunately, something about our set was also cursed (perhaps just some cosmic energy balancing), and our photographer’s memory card failed and we don’t have many pictures of the show, Kyle’s phone with half the video was stolen, and the videographer’s hard drive failed as well, BUT that video is being recovered, so stayed tuned for some great footage of the show!
Here’s one of the pictures we do still have, featuring a dancer from the Firefly Performance Troupe (check em out on FB here). Much thanks to their beautiful dancing, it took the music to a whole ‘nother level! (and don’t be surprised to see them on stage at our CD release show too:)

Hey ya’ll, we know we’ve been kinda (extremely[completely]) lazy keeping up our blog here, but that’s all gonna change! We’ll be updating this much more frequently with all sorts of stuff, and we hope it gives you an entertaining, enlightening look into the world of Indigo. What makes it a Funky return, you ask?! Well, you jus gotta dig, ya dig?
